Day 2RomeARRIVE ROME (3 nights): Welcome to the Eternal City of Rome! During the reign of the Roman Empire this was the most important political and cultural capital and the influence of this city on our modern day lives is still evident today. After all it is said that 'all roads lead to Rome'! Since the second century this city has been the seat of the Papacy and the Roman Catholic religion. After check-in to your hotel, the remainder of your day is at leisure to relax. Your local representative will meet you at the hotel this evening for a Welcome Drink to discuss your itinerary and provide suggestions on how to get the most out of your stay.

Day 3RomeROME SIGHTSEEING: Today's highlight is the magnificent Sistine Chapel and St Peters Basilica. Day 5AthensROME - ATHENS (3 nights): Today you will be transferred to the airport in Rome for your flight to the Greek capital city - Athens. This fascinating city is one of the worlds oldest with around 3,400 years of recorded history. It is widely referred to as the cradle of Western and the birthplace of democracy. Once home to Plato's Academy and Aristotle's Lyceum, it is still a for the arts, philosophy and education today. After checking in to your hotel you will be met by your local representative who will discuss the in Athens and the options available to you. Day 8CairoATHENS - CAIRO (3 nights): Today you will be transferred to the airport in Athens for your flight to Cairo - "The City of a Thousand Minarets". Upon arrival you will be met and transferred to your hotel. Cairo is the largest city in Africa and the Arab World and has a treasure chest of interesting museums, shopping areas and nightlife. After checking in to your hotel you will be met by your representative who will discuss the in Cairo and the options available to you. Day 9CairoCAIRO SIGHTSEEING: This morning after breakfast your local expert guide will take you to the Egyptian Museum, home of King Tutankhamun's priceless treasures which were discovered by Howard Carter in the Valley of the Kings in 1922. This afternoon you will take a drive out of the city to Giza to marvel at one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World - the Great Pyramids of Giza.
